Proceeds from product purchases through the bible.org Resource Center are used to support the bible.org ministry. Bible.org works hard to develop or find the most trustworthy resources to help you study the Bible.
The Centres offer a variety of Bibles in English, French, indigenous languages, and many other languages. They also offer Bible help and study material, devotionals, prayer books, scholarly works, Bibles, storybooks and comics for children, and more. Some of the Centres sell Christian music CDs, Bible cases and covers, greeting cards and gift items for special occasions and Christian holidays. Some of the Bible Resources Centres have an events area equipped with audio-visual facilities where partners can hold meetings and offer courses and training to the community.
This means that if you want to purchase a print Bible in China, the only place you can (legally) do so is at a Three-Self church or seminary. There was a time when those buying Bibles had to register, but that hasn't been the case for 20 years or so. At least in the big cities, most Three-Self churches have small bookstores where Bibles can be purchased.
Two of Mary Jones' bibles are known, supporting the version of the story where she buys three books from Thomas Charles. One Bible is in the British and Foreign Bible Society's Archives in Cambridge University Library[6][7] and one in the National Library of Wales.[8] They are copies of the 1799 edition of the Welsh Bible, ten thousand copies of which were printed at Oxford for the Society for the Propagation of Christian Knowledge. In addition to the Old and New Testaments and the Apocrypha, the volume contains the Book of Common Prayer (in Welsh) and Edmwnd Prys's Welsh metrical Psalms. 041b061a72
